Description
The heat sensor operates by using a matched pair of thermistors to sense heat.
One thermistor is exposed to the ambient temperature, the other is sealed.
In normal conditions the two thermistors register similar temperatures, but on the developement of a fire,
the temperature recorded by the exposed thermistor will increase rapidly,
resulting in an imbalance of the thermistors and causing the detector to change to the alarm state.
A High Temperature sensor has a fixed upper limit, which would be suitable for places such as kitchens.
This unit comes with a sounder base which is fitted with electronic circuitry
to monitor the presence of detectors and signals any unauthorised removal of detector heads.
It is supplied with a high or low volume setting and caps are available for stand-alone installation.
Features of Detector
Dimensions: 100mm x 42mm
Weight: 100g
Fitted with 2 LEDs for 360° visibility
Colour: White
