Honeywell Gent's Duct Smoke Sensor is specifiek ontworpen voor gebruik met ventilatie -ducking.
Extern gemonteerd op het kanaal, gebruikt het apparaat Venturi -buistechnologie om lucht te proeven voor rook. Als rook wordt gedetecteerd, activeert het apparaat de afsluiting van airconditioning- of ventilatiesystemen om het gevaar te isoleren en het verspreiden.
